ABOUT JON PROEH

Prior to launching Proeh Construction, Jon spent 15 years as a commodities trader at the Chicago Board of Trade and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Buying and selling commodities has given Jon a leg up when it comes to complex negotiations, and it also provided him with an excellent feel for the nuances of the current real estate market and construction trends.

In 2008, After trading Jon had the opportunity to work with Discovery Land Company, a high-end developer focused on small, private communities. The developer tapped Jon to sell property at El Dorado, a private golf and beach community in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Jon’s role was multifaceted, with a primary focus on working with qualified prospects. Helping these high-profile clients purchase property in a foreign country gave him valuable insight into the business.

Jon took the knowledge he gained in Mexico and brought it back to the states to pursue residential remodeling and construction in Chicago. Born and raised in Highland Park, Jon lived in various neighborhoods throughout the city before returning to his North Shore roots. While an expert on the North Shore, Jon is comfortable working with clients in any location in the greater Chicagoland area.

Proeh Construction, the general contracting and remodeling firm currently focuses on remodeling kitchens, bathrooms, basements and additions, and has begun building custom homes. Jon’s construction work gives him a keen understanding of the nuts and bolts of a home, as well as what it takes to transform a property for a client’s wants and needs.
